Air ConditioningComponentsCondenser

Air Conditioning Condenser:

The Air Conditioning Condenser is usually mounted in front of the Radiator at the front of the cars engine compartment. The condensers function is to allow the freon to cool from a high pressure-high temperature vapor into a high pressure liquid refrigerant. This is done with a fan blowing across the Condenser.

DIAGNOSE
There are no moving parts to the condenser. As long as it isn't clogged or have a hole in it, the condenser will function normally.
REPLACE
This should be done by a qualified technician only. The A/C System needs to be evacuated first. A machine is used in most cases to remove any existing freon from the system. Then just remove the hoses and a few bolts. For specific removal procedures get an Online Repair Manual
AIR CONDITIONING HOME REPAIRS AND TESTS
